I braved through high school with a group of misfits, each of us embarking on our own paths as we became young adults.
Years later, when Greg T. and Tanguy R. became the first to start the next generation, it was important to gather and, in the tradition of our group, anchor the moment with a fun memory. We managed to gather everyone, except John B., our wilder one who was off sailing the transatlantic with his partner.
Copaint to the rescue! I prepared two mini-copaints, both 3x3, a lion cub and a baby cheetah. Each of us painted a square in both paintings, and with this, made these heart-warming protective animals, that would become part of the kids’ room, showering them with love and the feeling of adventure.
We had to get creative for the whiskers of the cheetah, and Augustin G. unexpectedly saved the day with a mini trowel — seemingly random but, in his hands, the perfect tool.
Of course, when we ran out of canvas to paint, we turned on each other. Some were luckier than others! Tanguy R. got this dignified snail, proudly perched on his unibrow, courtesy of our phenomenal tattoo artist Bi Yu R, who got painted into an adorable rabbit by Maud R., herself a terrifying stabbed zombie.
I hope we do it again soon — it was too much fun! We just need someone in the group to step up and make more kids! I couldn’t help but notice Krol T. didn’t drink that night… so I’m feeling very hopeful!
